Belt Graduation Friday, 10/2  5:30 PM Invite your family and friends to join us as we celebrate with each of our students who recently tested and earned new ranks.  Each class level will perform a short demo then we will award the students their new ranks.  (Note this is also the night of the Gopher Hill street dance.  You are welcome to leave your car in our parking lot anytime throughout the weekend and walk over to Main Street to share in the festival fun if interested.) Bring a Friend Week Oct. 5-8 Bring a friend to class with you and both of you will get a special prize! This Week Only!! We Perform Saturday 10/3 at 12:30 PM Once again, our school has been asked to be part of the entertainment for the Gopher Hill Festival.  We will perform at 12:30 right at the stage on Main Street.  Our normal routine is to park at the school and walk to Jacob Smart Blvd. to watch the parade.  After the parade, we walk back to the school, change clothes and practice for our show.  About 12:15, we will walk from Dunamis to Main St.  After our performance, we will walk back and everyone is dismissed.   Wear SNEAKERS - white pants (black for black belts) and our new tees! Thurs. 10/29 Last Day to Wear T-shirts Back to FULL Gi Starting Nov. 1st Register Now Bully Defense Workshops Sat. Oct. 10th 160,000 kids don’t go to school every day due to bullying.  1 in 4 children are bullied. During these free workshops, you will learn how to deal with verbal bullying, cyber bullying, social and emotional bullying and physical bullying.  You will have fun with friends while learning self defense skills against the most common attacks. We have 3 times to choose from:  10:00-11:30, 11:30-1:00, 1:00-2:30.  Space is limited to 20 people per class so register online to reserve your spot ASAP! Register Now

October 23-24 - Regional Event Twice a year, in April and October, UFAF holds Black Belt testing throughout the regions.  For us in Region 7, this test cycle will be held at McCleary’s Premier Martial Arts in Powder Springs, GA (Atlanta area).  There will be FREE seminars for all ages/ranks of UFAF members and the tests are free to watch.  Watch for more details to be released as the time of the event nears. Not a UFAF member yet - Click here to enroll!  (Students who are Purple/White and higher are required to have active UFAF membership to belt test!) Friday, Oct. 30  6:00-8:00  $5.00 Every year students look forward to our annual Kick-R-Treat party.  This year we will have a bouncy house, inside (and maybe outside) games, pizza, and plenty of fun!   The cost is only $5.00 per person and you will get 2 slices of pizza, chips & a drink.  (Additional slices can be purchased for $1.)  You are welcome to wear “NON SCARY” costumes, but it is not required!

Saturday, Sept. 26 Belt Testing

Requirements:
- 80% Class Attendance
- Tuition payments up to date
- Exam Request form with high marks (nothing lower than a 2)
- Clean White Uniform
- Flag Patch for Gold and Up
- UFAF Membership for Purple/White and Up

Be sure to turn in your Exam Request form and test fee by Thursday to avoid the $10 late fee!

Test Schedule:
Jr. Beginners   10:45
Jr. and Adult Intermediate   12:30
Jr. and Adult Advanced     2:30

Oct. 2^nd Belt Graduation 5:30 PM
Join us for a time of celebration!  Each class level will do a short performance then we will award all students who passed the belt evaluations with their new rank.  This night will also serve as a “run through” for our Gopher Hill festival performance.  ALL students need to be in attendance … even if you didn’t test!  This is also the night of the Gopher Hill Festival street dance, which starts at 8:00PM.  We will be done in plenty of time for you to join the fun. Because our school is so close, you are welcome to leave your car in our parking lot and just walk over to the dance!
