Schedule Change, Back to School Bash, BJJ Day - Read On! Dunamis Karate News - August 2016 Summer is coming to a close and students will soon be returning to school.  As your schedules at home will be adjusting, so will ours here at the karate school.  On August 8 we will return to our full 4-day a week schedule.  This month’s calendar has everyday marked with the schedule to help you get accustomed to it.  We suggest you highlight you/your child’s schedule so it will stand out and you don’t miss anything!  Printable Calendar/Newsletter   Tiny Tigers – We are adding a second class time in order to accommodate new students who want to join our program.  We will be giving you, our existing students/parents first choice of the class time.  You may choose Monday & Wednesday at 4:30 or 5:00.   Let us know which class time you prefer and we will reserve your spot.

Back to School Bash FREE FUN NIGHT Friday, August 19th 6:00-8:00 PM  School is back in session, so kids (and parents) will need to burn off some steam.  We will have plenty of games and activities to help you do that! Labor Day  - Monday, 9/5 CLOSED – No classes will be held on Labor Day UFAF BJJ Day Friday, September 2nd 6:00-7:00 PM   $15 Come roll with us as we begin some official training in UFAF Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  The cost of this one-hour class is only  $15 … for you and your rolling buddy.   Every participant should bring his/her own rolling buddy to work with during the class.  Someone close to your own size works best! PARENTS – You are WELCOME to join us for this class as well!  No experience is necessary!   This class is for students, family & friends ages 7 and Up!

Dunamis Karate News - July 2016 July will be a busy month for us as we prepare for our annual training event in Vegas.  Be sure to note the days we are closed as well as the make up days so you don’t miss any training time!  If you have questions, please feel free to ask Mrs. Woods. We will be closed July 4th for Independence Day... No classes will be held on Monday, July 4th! Dunamis Karate News - June 2016 Summer is quickly approaching and we are all ready for some fun and sun!  In order to allow for more family time for us and for you, we will combine the Jr. ranks and cut back our classes to two days per week... but the classes will go from 45 minutes to 1 hour in length.  We will also be adding morning classes for students in the Jr. class (no Tiny Tigers, please).  Students will need to choose morning OR afternoon classes.  We do not have space for students to do both classes, so you will need to choose morning OR afternoon and stick to that for the entire 6 weeks of the summer schedule! Be sure to print the calendar and hang it where you can check it regularly so you don't forget your new class time or any of the special events or make up classes. Hyper Fight Club Camp June 24th  $50 10:00am - 3:00pm Pre-Register by June 6th and your camp will include a Fight Club Tee ($24 Value) June 17          Finding Dory Movie This movie has long been anticipated in our house and we would like to share our excitement about the Finding Dory movie release with all of you.  Anyone wishing to see the movie with us as a group can meet us at the Bluffton Cinemark theater.  Each person is responsible for his/her own ticket and snacks if desired.  (Show times will be confirmed as the time gets closer, so stay tuned!) Hyper Believe Bo Staff Camp July 29th  $50 10:00am - 3:00pm Pre-Register by July 6th and your camp will include a Believe Tee ($24 Value) We will be closed July 10-23 for the United Fighting Arts Federation International Training Convention and World Championships in Las Vegas, NV. This training event is open to all UFAF members.  IF you are interested in joining us this year or in the future, let us know! Make up classes will be held July 6, 25 & 27.  Do you best to attend these make up classes so you don't miss any training time.

Super Summer 2016

Summer is going to be SUPER here at Dunamis Karate!

Summer is Almost Here ... And we have some SUPER things planned. In our Jr. & Adult classes, we will be changing from our traditional curriculum and working on UFAF's Integrated Self Defense Training.  We will cover self defense/fighting skills from stand up to take down, protecting yourself while on the ground, and recovering safely to your feet.  This curriculum is required for students before they can test for 3rd Degree in the Chuck Norris System and we are going to give it to all of our jr. and adult ranks through the summer.  You don't want to miss it!
