Dunamis Karate News May 2019 The next several months are jam-packed with events and some schedule changes.  Make sure to read thoroughly and mark your calendars now so you don't forget anything!! Printable Calendar  Starting May 6th, students will be allowed to wear "Summer Uniforms."  The summer uniforms will be allowed through October.  Only Dunamis Karate, UFAF, or Hyper Pro Training tees will be allowed.  If you do not have one of these approved tees, you will need to wear your full uniform. Dunamis Shorts will be allowed if they are longer than the fingertips.  We can have the logo applied to your shorts for only $5.  Just bring in your shorts and we will take care of it.  The new summer design shirts have been ordered and will be ready SOON! Remember Purple Belts & Up are required to attend a Hyper Fight Club event at least once every two months in order to be eligible to belt test.  Newly promoted purple belts need to see Mrs. Woods or Mrs. Allison to get your sparring gear ordered. The dates for the next 2 fight nights is Friday, May 3rd at 5:00 PM.  Then the next event will be Friday, June 7th at 5:00 PM. NOTE this is a NEW time - 5:00 PM! Music for Missions Birthday Celebration Jim and Andi Lynn want to share their birthday celebration and their love of music with family and friends. Here is your chance to be entertained: enjoy music by the Woods Family and support a worthy cause! Our family will be providing Live Music on Friday, May 10th from 7PM-until at the Dunamis Karate building in Ridgeland. This will be a charitable event supporting the Andi Woods Christian Mission Institute in Liberia! We are asking for a $10 cash donation from each guest at the door. ALL donations will go towards our current mission projects starting with our clean water initiative! MOMS TRAIN FOR FREE In honor of Mothers Day, we will be offering FREE classes for all Moms, May 13 - May 16.  Moms train for FREE all week in ANY Class! RIDGELAND - MAY 17TH   6:00-9:00 PM DIP, DUCK, DODGE - DODGEBALL PARENTS NIGHT OUT Parents, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for ... Here’s your chance to take a well-deserved break from your kids with our Dip Duck Dodge Parent’s Night Out Event! 🤗 All you gotta do is drop your kids off at our school for 3 hours where they’ll have a BLAST playing dodgeball and doing all the FUN things they LOVE ❤️ to do including… · Participate in dodgeball games & activities · Play & have fun with their friends · Learn about teamwork · Hone their skills so they can win the dodgeball world series · Have a tasty snack with their friends · And more! All you gotta do is drop your kids off at our school for 3 hours where they’ll have a BLAST jumping from obstacle to obstacle and doing all the FUN things they LOVE ?? to do including… • Participate in fun games includes lava ball, volcanic obstacle course, & more! • Play & have fun with their friends • Work as a team to avoid the lava • Leap, jump, and bounce everywhere to avoid the liquid, hot, magma • Re-fuel with delicious snacks • And so much more! Worried about supervision at this Hot Event? We’ve got you covered. Your child will be supervised the entire time by our high-quality staff. So… go out, relax and have some much-needed fun yourself! The Ridgeland location will be closed May 23 - May 31. Mrs. Woods and Mrs. Andi Lynn go on a mission trip to Liberia, West Africa. We will be hosting 2 days of "Make Up Classes" so students can make up the lost class time.  The schedule will be as follows: Saturday, May 18th Tiny Tigers 10:00 AM All Other Ranks 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday, June 8th Tiny Tigers 10:00 AM All Other Ranks 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM   Belt Testing will be held during regular class time on Wednesday & Thursday, June 12-13. Belt test fees MUST be paid by Tuesday, June 11th or the $10 late fee will be added. Pay through the app and no "paperwork" is necessary.  Pay by cash or check and the paper test form will be required! Flag patch at Dunamis patch attached to uniform (Gold Belts & Up) Fight Night attendance (Purple Belts & Up) Active UFAF membership with UFAF patch on the left chest (Purple Belts & Up) RIDGELAND - JUNE 14 - 6:00-9:00 PM BATTLE BALL LEAGUE PARENTS NIGHT OUT  The ULTIMATE Pokemon Inspired Party! We have crafted an event like no other, with everyone's favorite show in mind - Pokemon! Your kids will get the chance to design their own Pokemon inspired monster, learn from Professor Evergreen how to be a master trainer, and defeat Team Galaxy in a duel that they will be raving about for weeks! Best of all? Your kids will be using their imaginations and playing active games all night! PROS - You get to have a kid free night 🙌 - The kids aren’t sitting at home with a baby sitter watching TV (Lame!) - They will get to flex their imagination muscles 💪🏻 - They will be supervised by our trained professional staff - They will get to play Pokemon inspired games and follow a narrated story CONS - It is only happening one night ☹️ - Your child will talk about how much fun they had for DAYS (better than talking about fort nite!) - Spots are Limited… and always fill up FAST 😮 So be sure to ➡️ Register Now!
