Dunamis Karate Newsletter June & July 2019 The next two months are going to be really busy as we move into summer.  Please be sure to mark all these events and changes on your personal calendars now so you don't forget!! Printable Calendar  Hyper Fight Club - Friday, June 7th at 5:00 PM Pay $5.00 through the app or bring cash. Purple Belts & Up - You must bring ALL your sparring gear in order to participate! Ridgeland Makeup Class  (for mission trip closing) Saturday, June 8th Tiny Tigers 10:00 AM All Other Ranks 10:30 - 12:00 Wednesday & Thursday, June 12-13 Belt Testing During Class Time Test fee must by paid by Tuesday, June 11 or a $10 late fee will be added!!   Pay through the app and there is no need for paperwork.  Pay by cash or check and you will need to bring the printed exam request form (see below). Check the list below to make sure you meet ALL the requirements: Clean Well-Fitting White Uniform Minimum 80% class attendance Tuition payments must be up to date Test fee paid prior to testing or a $10 late fee will added (pay through the app and no paper test form is required.  Pay by cash or check and we will need this TEST FORM turned in as well!) Flag patch at Dunamis patch attached to uniform (Gold Belts & Up) Fight Night attendance (Purple Belts & Up) Active UFAF membership with UFAF patch on the left chest (Purple Belts & Up) RIDGELAND - JUNE 14 - 6:00-9:00 PM BATTLE BALL LEAGUE PARENTS NIGHT OUT  The ULTIMATE Pokemon Inspired Party! We have crafted an event like no other, with everyone's favorite show in mind - Pokemon! Your kids will get the chance to design their own Pokemon inspired monster, learn from Professor Evergreen how to be a master trainer, and defeat Team Galaxy in a duel that they will be raving about for weeks! Best of all? Your kids will be using their imaginations and playing active games all night! PROS - You get to have a kid free night 🙌 - The kids aren’t sitting at home with a baby sitter watching TV (Lame!) - They will get to flex their imagination muscles 💪🏻 - They will be supervised by our trained professional staff - They will get to play Pokemon inspired games and follow a narrated story CONS - It is only happening one night ☹️ - Your child will talk about how much fun they had for DAYS (better than talking about fort nite!) - Spots are Limited… and always fill up FAST 😮 So be sure to ➡️ Register Now! HAMPTON WATERMELON FESTIVAL Hampton Students (& Ridgeland students too), We have been invited to once again perform for the Watermelon Festival on Friday night, June 21st, before the street dance.  Please do you best to attend these extra practice classes!! Dads - In honor of Fathers Day we invite you to join us for DADS DAY IN THE DOJO!  Join your child on the mat for class and/or join the 7:00 Self-Defense class. Here’s your chance to take a well-deserved break from your kids with our Dip Duck Dodge Parent’s Night Out Event! 🤗 All you gotta do is drop your kids off at our school for 3 hours where they’ll have a BLAST playing dodgeball and doing all the FUN things they LOVE ❤️ to do including… · Participate in dodgeball games & activities · Play & have fun with their friends · Learn about teamwork · Hone their skills so they can win the dodgeball world series · Have a tasty snack with their friends · And more! Please note that MAKEUP CLASSES will be offered for both locations.   RIDGELAND Coming up on July 26 is our Castles & Dragons Parent’s Night Out! We will be spending 3 hours playing active games, learning how to use magic, joust, fighting a dragon, and so much more! How are we able to do all this? Well, we have something at our events that you won't find anywhere else… Custom audio instructions that tell your kids a story that they will follow throughout the night! These audio instructions create a one of a kind interactive story that will have your kids talking about this event for days on end! Get ready for your kids to learn how to duel with swords, cast magical spells, and quest to take down the evil king during our Castles & Dragons Parent’s Night Out!
