Dunamis Karate  May 2022 Newsletter The saying “time flies when you’re having fun” is certainly true. Not only is it already MAY, but this month is already halfway gone! This month is off to a great start and we have plenty more in store for you. Important changes to the class schedule will start June 6th, so PLEASE, read on and mark your calendars now so you don’t miss anything! Friday, May 20th 6:00 - 9:00 PM Tired of your Child’s Minecraft Addiction? Well now you can use your child’s love of Minecraft to get them up, active,  and out of the house. Our Crazy Crafters Parents Night Out is perfect for your little Minecraft player and will get them having fun with their friends away from a TV screen. Plus, it will give you some much needed Rest and Relaxation time : ) Whether it is creating their own Minecraft masks, building a fantastic Minecraft world, or becoming the Zombie Tag Champion,  your child and their friends will be talking about this night for a long time.  There are LIMITED spaces available. Hyper Fight Club Saturday, May 21st 10:00am Remember sparring is part of your belt requirements. Purple Belts and up are required to spar at least once every test cycle in order to belt test. This is your FINAL opportunity to attend a sparring class  before belt testing! $5.00 - Pay through the app or bring cash Students must have their own sparring gear. If you need to purchase gear, the instructions are in the “INTERMEDIATE CURRICULUM” section of the app.

Belt Testing: Wednesday June 1st & Thursday June 2nd  Register through the app by Sunday, 5/29 to avoid the late fee Be sure to have a CLEAN and WELL FITTING White Uniform Minimum 80% class attendance Patches required for Gold Belts and Up UFAF Membership and Hyper Fight Club required for Purple Belts and Up Must have earned both Black, Red stripes from Stripe Test Week and the Yellow Stripe from Fitness week. (If you are missing either of these stripes, you must schedule a private lesson in order to get a make up evaluation.) Must earn Fitness Stripe in order to test Arrive early - be dressed and ready! If you are late you will not be allowed to test. RIDGELAND PARENTS - NOTE:  * Limited spots are available for each test time.  * The times are fist come-first served. * You must reserve a time for your appropriate rank level. * If you are not pre-registered for a time before the event, you will not be allowed to test! No Black Belt Club Thurs, 6/2 due to Testing! If you are NOT TESTING, DO NOT come to class on June 1-2.

Summer Schedule Starts June 6

Through the summer all ages/ranks above Tiny Tigers  will be combined. Students who are in the BBC/MC will attend  the “all ranks” class AND the BBC/MC class! On August 1st, we will go back to our “regular” class schedule. Stay tuned for more updates as that date approaches.
