We have some really exciting things happening this month. We are especially looking forward to the 30 in 30 challenge and the Open House Community Event. This month we also have belt testing & graduation! There are so many things you will not want to miss. Be sure to read this email carefully and mark your calendars now so you don’t miss/forget anything!!

We are exciting to be joining Century Martial Arts and the Martial Arts Industry Association in a 30 in 30 Challenge. This is a global effort to revive and strengthen the martial arts industry by adding 30k students over the next 30 days. There are about 1,000 schools joining in this challenge.

Our goal for Dunamis Karate will be to add 30 new members.

We need YOUR HELP to make this happen.

Century Martial Arts is donating one of a kind commemorative coins that will go to any student who has a referral who enrolls on a regular program.

These coins will not be available after this month and they cannot be bought. You earn a coin by joining the challenge and referring more members.

In addition to the challenge coin, Dunamis Karate will offer DOUBLE REWARDS in the month of September. So when you refer someone who enrolls, instead of a $25 or $50 gift card, you get $50 or $100!!!

In addition to the Challenge Coin and the DOUBLE REWARDS, we will also be holding a TICKET CONTEST and giving away some amazing prizes. The grand prizes include a remote controlled car, a drone, a ukulele package,

and … Drumroll …

PIE IN THE FACE for one of your favorite instructors.

Students can earn tickets every time they attend class, for having a buddy do the New Student Experience class, attending the PNO and HFC, and So much More!

Call of the Mission Parents Night Out
Friday, 9/13 6-9pm

Call of the Mission is a fast-paced, action-packed, and playful take on the popular first-person shooter game. Players would engage in battles using a variety of nerf blasters with foam darts. The objective of the game is to eliminate the opposing team or complete certain objectives, but with the added element of a safe and fun twist.

The sound effects, and maps will be intense and immersive, making it a unique and entertaining experience for players of all ages. Imagine running around with friends or playing online, dodging enemy fire, and strategically planning your next move, all while using nerf gun.

Imagine having to rescue fallen soldiers, capture enemy flags and traverse obstacles to complete missions with military precision.

Your kids will have to get through obstacles, save their buddies, work together and have calm precision to take on this month's PNO.

BELT TESTING

Hampton Students will be testing on Monday & Tuesday, 9/23-24. If you are not testing, do not come to class on Monday or Tuesday!

Wednesday & Thursday will be “normal class” for the Hampton school.

Ridgeland students will be testing Monday-Wednesday. If you are not testing, do not come to class Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday!

Thursday will be regular class for the Ridgeland school!

REGISTER BY 9/16 TO AVOID THE LATE FEE

REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE COMPLETELY ON 9/20!!

Arrive early - be dressed and ready!
If you are late, you will not be allowed to test.
If you are not pre-registered, you will not be allowed to test!

TEST REQUIREMENTS:

* Wear Clean well-fitting white uniform

* Minimum 80% Class attendance

* Membership Program Payments up to date

* Must have earned Black, Red, & Yellow Stripes (Traditional, Combatives, Fitness)

* Flag & Dunamis Patch attached to the uniform (Gold Belts & Up)

* Active UFAF Membership (Purple Belts & up)

* Hyper Fight Club Attendance (Purple & Up – 1 every 3 months)

Belt Graduation will be held in Ridgeland on Friday, June 27th.

Registration for graduation will open after belt testing! Only students who pass their belt test need to register for graduation. Graduation is optional. If you choose not to attend, you will get your belt in the next normally scheduled class.

Open House Sat. 9/28

Join us on Saturday, 9/28 for a free community event/open house. We will have a bounce house, martial arts classes, popcorn/cotton candy, prizes & giveaways & one lucky winner will get to PIE-A-SENSEI in the face!

Gopher Hill Festival Oct. 3-5

Once again we are planning a HUGE performance for the Gopher Hill Festival.
We will begin to work some of these things in class over the next few weeks.

We will have one BIG practice in Ridgeland on Saturday, 10/5
around 11:30 (immediately after the parade), then we will walk from the dojo to Main Street where we will perform.

We want ALL our students to take part in this performance.

We will be taking orders for the Gopher Hill Tee, which will be our “uniform” for the event soon. Every student must have one in order to take part in the show!
