April 9-12     T-Shirt Week $1.00 Daily Donation Once again we will have t-shirt week to raise money for mission projects in Liberia, West Africa.  For a $1.00 daily donation, students will be allowed to wear a t-shirt in place of their gi tops! For more information about our work in Liberia, visit www.JimWoods.org April 14 Youth Black Belt Test   10:00 AM Feel free to come out and support our students as they test for 1st and 2nd Degree Black Belt.  You will be amazed at just how much hard work it takes to pass a Chuck Norris System Black Belt test! April 20-21     Regional Training Event and Black Belt Test Powder Springs, GA We have 2 students testing for 3rdDegree Black Belt.   Dustin Williams and Jonah Lowther will test along with a 2nd Degree candidate from GA in front of the Region 7 Board members.   Friday, April 27 Super Hero Parents Night Out 5:30 – 9:00      $20 Back by Popular Demand – and we listened to your requested and extended the time to 3.5 hours. Take a night off from parenting while we entertain the kids.  We have even added some exciting new games to increase the fun! Students can bring 1 non-karate friend for FREE.  But space is limited to 20 people so reserve your spot NOW! Book NOW April 13 Hyper Fight Club 6:00 PM   $5.00 Remember, Purple Belts and Up must attend at least 1 fight night every other month in order to belt test!  If you are a new purple belt, see Mrs. Woods ASAP to get your sparring gear ordered! April 18-19 Belt Testing During Class Time TEST REQUIREMENTS: * Clean well-fitting white uniform * Minimum 80% Class attendance * Tuition Payments up to date * Test form and fee turned in prior to belt testing or a $10 late fee is added * Flag & Dunamis Patch attached to the uniform (Gold Belts & Up) * Active UFAF Membership (Purple Belts & up) * Fight Night Attendance (Purple & Up – 1 every 2 months) April 30 Start Summer Uniforms No more hot karate uniforms – starting April 30 through October, students can wear karate tees/shorts to class.  Please wear only these approved tees: Dunamis, Chuck Norris System, UFAF, UFAF Krav Maga Force, & Hyper. Deadline to order summer uniforms is April 23!  The 2018 Summer Design to be released soon!

Adult Self Defense Workshop at the Morris Center May 3rd    11:00 – 12:30    Admission to this event is FREE, however advanced registration is requested due to limited space. To register call the Morris Center at 843-284-9227.

Dunamis Karate News March 2018 Congratulations to everyone who tested and earned new ranks last week.  Your hard work and dedication are paying off.  Remember as your rank gets higher, more and more will be required of you so don’t slack off! Thank you to everyone to who took part in our Super Hero Parents Night Out last Friday.  We had a BLAST… in fact, it was SO MUCH FUN, that we are planning another one in April so stay tuned.   Here is a link to the highlight reel if you want to get a glimpse of just how much fun we had. March 5 - 8 Bring a Friend Week Do you have a friend who would enjoy martial arts training? Bring them to class with you!  We will allow your friend to join your class absolutely free! This Week Only! March 30 Youth Black Belt Pretest 10:00 AM Is a youth test easier than an adult test??  ABSOLUTELY NOT!   Our youth will be tested by the same requirements as the adult ranks and we don’t cut them any slack because they are “youth.”  Feel free to come watch as we test 5 candidates for 1st and/or 2nd Degree Youth Black Belt in the Chuck Norris System. March 16 Hyper Fight Club 6:00-7:00 PM         $5.00 Purple Belts and Up, join us in Ridgeland on Friday, 3/16 for another great night of sparring.  Remember that you must attend at least one fight night every 2 months in order to be eligible to belt test, so grab all your gear and be here at 6 PM. Don’t have sparring gear?  See Mrs. Woods or Mrs. Allison ASAP to get it ordered!!
