What's Up Monday Announcements 8/29/22

8/29/22 Weekly Announcements:

We have TWO upcoming performances for local festivals. We want EVERYONE to participate, so EVERYONE will need a t-shirt to be part of the show!

- Order your "Family Tree" T-shirt for upcoming performances by Wednesday 9/7!

- Shrimp Festival Demo September 17th 12:00 PM in Yemassee

- Gopher Hill Festival Demo Saturday, Oct. 8th 1pm in Ridgeland

NEXT WEEK is Belt Testing!

- This week is REVIEW - Come to as many class as you can to make sure you are ready!

- Register for Private Lesson if you need to make up Black or Red Stripe or need extra help with any of the curriculum!

Belt Testing on September 7-8 ... Be sure to Register in app by Sunday 9/4 to avoid the Late Fee

- Must have 80% class attendance

- Membership payments up to date

- Must have earned Black & Red plus Yellow Fitness Stripe

- Must have clean, well fitting uniform

- Patches for Gold and Up

- UFAF Membership for Purple & Up

- Hyper Fight Club for Purple & Up

RIDGELAND NOTE

You will need to reserve a specific time to test … Make sure you select a time for RIDGELAND not HAMPTON test … Beginners have 5 time options, Tiny tigers and Int. have 2 options.

There are limited spots for each time. Time Slots are first come first served!!

No Belt Students:

We will test any student who does not already have a White Belt THIS WEEK in class on Wednesday or Thursday. These students do NOT need to register in the app for belt testing and you do NOT attend class on 9/7-8 when the other students will be testing!

Students: Bring a buddy to class with you this week - If they become a student, you get to spin the prize wheel! Please have your buddy register ahead of time so we have a waiver on file. Only 2 Week Until Belt Testing …

Register now for a Private Lesson if you need to make up your Black or Red Stripe test ... or need extra help with any of the curriculum, purchase your private lesson now and we will schedule with you directly!!

Saber Wars Parents Night Out
August 19th 6:00-9:00pm

The dark or the light?

At our Saber Wars Parents Night Out, your child will go on a journey as an apprentice and learn the ways of the force as they dodge lasers, battle evil droids, have intergalactic battles, play games, and choose between the dark side and the light.

Every participant will get a LIGHT-UP SABER to keep!

Your child will not want to miss out on the best Parents Night Out in the galaxy! SPACES ARE LIMITED!! What are you waiting for? Register Today!

Saturday, 8/20 at 10:00am $5.00

Purple Belts and Up are required to participate in at least ONE
Hyper Fight Club per test cycle.
This will be your last and final opportunity to attend HFC
and meet this test requirement before belt testing in September!
You must have all your own sparring gear to participate.

Register through the Dunamis Karate App or bring $5 cash.

August 22-25 - Bring a Friend to Class

Karate class are even more fun
when you get to do it with your friends!

That’s why we invite our members to bring a friend to class the week of Aug. 22-25th. It will be a week of fun karate challenges and fitness games.

As an added bonus, if your buddy decided to join one of our membership programs, you will get to spin the PRIZE WHEEL!

Students do NOT need to register for this … we only need registration from your special guest who will join us on the mat!

Be sure to have a FULL CLEAN and WELL FITTING White Uniform
Minimum 80% class attendance
Patches required for Gold Belts and Up
UFAF Membership and Hyper Fight Club required for Purple Belts and Up
Must have earned both Black, Red stripes from Stripe Test Week (If you are missing either of these stripes, you must schedule a private lesson in order to get a make up evaluation.)
Must earn Yellow Fitness Stripe in order to test.
Arrive early - be dressed and ready!
If you are late you will not be allowed to test.

RIDGELAND PARENTS - NOTE:
* Limited spots are available for each test time.
* The times are fist come-first served.
* You must reserve a time for your appropriate rank level.
* If you are not pre-registered for a time before the event, you will not be allowed to test!

If you are NOT testing, do NOT come to class on these days!
