Karate in the Park Wed. 4/6 5:00 PM All classes meet together at Turpin Part at 5:00 pm for a super fun karate class outside in the fresh air.  Wear regular play clothes and sneakers.   No uniforms required! Tiny Tigers Belt Test  During Regular Class Time Mon & Wed April 11 & 13 Belt Testing Saturday, 4/16 Jr. Beginners 10:00 Jr/Adult Int. 11:00 Jr/Adult Adv 2:00 Be sure to turn in your Test Form & Test Fee by Thursday, 4/14 to avoid the $10 late fee! Private Lesson Marathon Fri. 4/8 3:00-5:00 Be ready to pass your upcoming belt test – get a one on one lesson with Mrs. Woods for a special discounted rate of $25.  Half hour lessons can be booked directly with Mrs. Woods or through Mrs. Allison between 3:00 and 5:00 Test Requirements: -80% Class attendance -Tuition Payments up to date -Exam Request form with High Marks (Nothing lower than a 2) -Clean White Uniform -School Patch & Flag Patch for Gold Belts & up -UFAF Membership & Patch for Purple/White and Up Going Away Party for Andi Lynn Sat. 4/9 5:00-7:00 PM Come celebrate with Miss Andi as she leaves to be a full time missionary with Team Rock Ministries.  Drop anytime between 5:00-7:00.  We will have some snacks and hear all about Miss Andi’s upcoming ministry. Summer Uniforms Start – Tees Instead of Gi’s Starting April 25th, students may wear “summer uniforms” which means approved t-shirts (Dunamis Karate shirts, Hyper shirts & Chun Kuk Do shirts only) in place of the gi tops.  If you have Dunamis Karate shorts, you may also wear those in place of your gi pants – Dunamis Karate short ONLY – No other shirts/shorts are approved! If you don’t have approved tees or shorts, purchase some now from the pro-shop … if we don’t have your size, don’t worry.  We will be ordering again very soon, so be sure to let us know your size!!

Train with 9th Degree Master Ed Saenz

9th Degree Chuck Norris System Black Belt, Master Ed Saenz, will be in Beaufort, SC for a special training event this month.  While here, he has agreed to teach some special seminars for under Black Belt students as well.

The seminars will be held at Club Karate (10 Sams Point Rd. Suite B-3, Lady's Island, SC 29907) on Friday March 18th.

The Kids seminar, for Orange Belts and up, will be from 6:30-7:30.  The cost is $15.

The Adult seminar will be from 7:30 - 9:00 and the cost is only $20.

We don't have many opportunities to train with such an elite instructor in the Chuck Norris System ... especially an opportunity this close to home.  Please make every effort to attend.  You will not be disappointed!

9th Degree Black Belt, Ed Saenz started his martial arts journey in 1967 as a student of Chuck Norris.  Master Saenz has spent his entire professional life in the martial arts and fitness business.  Prior to opening his own school, he served as the Director of Operations for Mr. Norris' KickStart program where he was responsible for instructors, school operations and program development.  He was in charge of overseeing more than 6,000 students and more than 40 Black Belt instructors in the Houston and Dallas areas. In 2011, Master Saenz returned to teaching full time in his own school, Ed Saenz School of Martial Arts, in Tomball, TX.  He serves on the UFAF Board of Directors as the UFAF Director of Training and Advancement.  He is highly sought after for instruction in private lessons and special seminars.

Thank you to all of our students and parents who came out to support the Goodwill Tournament this past weekend.  We had the 2nd highest number of participants and for the first time ever, we won a GIANT trophy!  Be sure to check out our 5' tall trophy when you come by the school.  

I want to congratulate all of our students on your performance at the tournament.  Regardless of your place, I want you to know I appreciate your hard work and thank you for your great attitudes and sportsmanship!  That is what makes me most proud!

March 19-20 - MDS Training for Black Belts 1st Degree & Up hosted by Club Karate in Beaufort

Mach 25 - Private Lesson Marathon ... get a one on one lesson with Mrs. Woods at the discounted rate of only $25... book your 1/2 hour time slot between 3:00 & 5:00 ASAP!

March 27 - Easter Sunday

April 1-2 - 1st Degree Black Belt Test & regional seminars hosted by Inner Banks Karate in Morehead City, NC.  Open to all UFAF members to attend.

Things You Need To Know!

Friday, 2/19, is our last tournament prep class - we will work katas for the Goodwill Tournament - cost $5.      5:00-6:00 PM

Saturday is deadline to pre-register for Goodwill Tournament & save money $$ - get your forms in the mail before Saturday, 2/20!

Test Forms and Test Fees need to be turned in by Thursday, 2/18 or a $10 late fee will be added!  Download a test form here!

Belt Testing is this Saturday:
Jr. Beginners 10:00
Jr. Intermediate & Adult Beginner 11:00
Jr. & Adult Advanced 2:00

(Tiny Tigers and students testing for White Belt will be evaluated during regular class time.)

Test Requirements

Belt Graduation will be next Friday, 2/26 at 5:30 PM ... We have special guests coming in to join us & perform for us so make plans to be there!!!

Goodwill Tournament is Saturday - doors open at 8:30 AM, demonstrations start at 10:00 AM ... our school is one of several that have been asked to perform.  The demonstrations are always one of my favorite parts, so be sure to arrive early!
