Dunamis Karate News September 2016 Another month has come and gone and it seems we are quickly approaching the year end.  Much will be happening this month including belt testing, a SWAT Team event and we will be preparing for our performance at the Gopher Hill Festival. UFAF BJJ Day Friday, September 2nd 6:00-7:00 PM   $15 Come roll with us as we begin some official training in UFAF Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  The cost of this one-hour class is only  $15 … for you and your rolling buddy.   Every participant should bring his/her own rolling buddy to work with during the class.  Someone close to your own size works best! PARENTS – You are WELCOME to join us for this class as well!  No experience is necessary!   This class is for students, family & friends ages 7 and Up! SWAT Team Event Friday 9/9 5:00-7:30 SWAT Team Members – It’s time to get you all back to work.  If you have been through a training and want to assist in classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, this event if for you!  The cost is only $5.  We will have a review training, pizza and even some fun! Private Lesson Marathon 9/16 3:00-5:00 Brush up on your skills with a one on one lesson with Mrs. Woods.  Belt testing will be here on 9/21-22, so don’t miss your chance to get a private lesson for only $25. BELT TESTING  9/21 & 9/22 Belt testing will be held during regular class time on 9/21 & 9/22. Be sure to meet all requirements:  Test form & fee turned in by 9/15 (a $10 late fee will be added for all forms/fees turned in after 9/15) 80% Class Attendance Tuition payments up to date Flag Patch for Gold Belts & Up UFAF Membership for Purple Belts & Up. Belt Graduation Friday, 9/30 at 5:30 PM. It will last no more than 45 minutes so you have time to attend the Gopher Hill Festival Street Dance.

We have once again been invited to perform a demo for the Gopher Hill Festival. We are scheduled to perform on Saturday, 10/1 at 12:30 PM.  We will be practicing for the performance during class time then have a practice show on Friday, 9/30 during our belt graduation.  Please make your best effort to be there! We will be ordering t-shirts to wear during the festival performance. All students who will be in the show must have a t-shirt ... and we want ALL of you in our show!  Parents, family and friends are also welcome to purchase shirts.  We will be offering them for only $15 + tax. The order deadline is 9/13.

Schedule Change, Back to School Bash, BJJ Day - Read On! Dunamis Karate News - August 2016 Summer is coming to a close and students will soon be returning to school.  As your schedules at home will be adjusting, so will ours here at the karate school.  On August 8 we will return to our full 4-day a week schedule.  This month’s calendar has everyday marked with the schedule to help you get accustomed to it.  We suggest you highlight you/your child’s schedule so it will stand out and you don’t miss anything!  Printable Calendar/Newsletter   Tiny Tigers – We are adding a second class time in order to accommodate new students who want to join our program.  We will be giving you, our existing students/parents first choice of the class time.  You may choose Monday & Wednesday at 4:30 or 5:00.   Let us know which class time you prefer and we will reserve your spot.

Back to School Bash FREE FUN NIGHT Friday, August 19th 6:00-8:00 PM  School is back in session, so kids (and parents) will need to burn off some steam.  We will have plenty of games and activities to help you do that! Class Closures - Make Up Classes & More!

Dunamis Karate News - July 2016 July will be a busy month for us as we prepare for our annual training event in Vegas.  Be sure to note the days we are closed as well as the make up days so you don’t miss any training time!  If you have questions, please feel free to ask Mrs. Woods. We will be closed July 4th for Independence Day... No classes will be held on Monday, July 4th!
