Dunamis Karate March 2020 Newsletter

Dunamis Karate News March 2020

First, let me congratulate all of the students who competed at the Goodwill Tournament last month.  You guys made us So Proud!  You were able to pull off an impromptu demo with only 10 minutes prep time and you did a great job!  And we heard lots of good things about your competition... how well you did, how respectful you were, what great sportsmanships you had!  Hearing all this made us super happy!  And to top it off, we won the GIANT 6' trophy because our school had the most people in attendance ... 26 students ... That is a record for us!  THANK YOU!!!

Be sure to check our Facebook Page to see all the pics from the tournament!

Now, we are already in the 3rd month of this new year.  Time is going by way too fast!  This month we have some new things happening and we will be preparing for upcoming Black Belt tests and getting our Booster Club members ready for the International Training Conference in July.  Read on to learn more!
T-Shirt Weeks
As the weather gets warmer, students begin to complain about the hot uniforms... but we don't allow karate tees until May.  To help ease their grief and help some orphans in Liberia, West Africa, we will have "T-SHIRT WEEK" twice this month.
For a $1.00 donation each day,
students can wear a tee instead of their gi tops!

March 9-12 and March 23-26 ONLY!

This "Be Our Guest Parent’s Night Out" will be one of our best yet!

What makes our events different than anything else is the time and imagination we put into all the games. We also love active team games - for example, your kids will be carrying a team member
on a blanket to help them learn to fly on a magic rug.

With an interactive story told throughout the night and during the games, it is sure to be a magical event like no other. We want your kids to have so much fun that they’ll be talking about it for days!

Goodwill Tournament
February 29, 2020
Each year we look forward to participating in the Goodwill Tournament held at the Beaufort High School gymnasium.  It is a friendly, safe, fun tournament that is run by Mr. Chuck Elias from Club Karate, who is Mrs. Woods' instructor.

The tournament is great for students of ALL ages and ranks - even the little Tiny Tigers!  It's great because the divisions will be broken into smaller groups so each person has a greater chance of placing.

All students who participate will receive a plaque or trophy and ribbons are awarded for the top 3 or 4 places in each division.

We will start having some "tournament prep classes" this month to help students be prepared to compete!

The school who brings the most students will win a HUGE trophy and this year WE WANT TO WIN, so please join us in Beaufort on Feb. 29th!

More info coming soon!

Tournament Prep Forms & Weapons Practice
