Summer Schedule Starts June 7th

ITC Practice Are you going to the UFAF International Training Conference in Las Vegas this July? It’s time to get serious about practicing for the ITC Tournament!! We will have THREE practices in June to help students going to the UFAF ITC in July get ready to perform their best during the ITC World Championships. Friday, June 11th at 6:00 PM Saturday, June 19th at 11:00 AM Friday, June 25th at 6:00 PM

Nuclear Dodgeball PNO Friday, June 18th 6:00 - 9:00 PM For the first time ever, Dunamis Karate is hosting a black light, dodgeball party and it is going to be EPIC! Dodge balls will glow, your kids will glow, and even the court will glow. Register your kids for this cool experience!

Hyper Fight Club Saturday, June 19th 10:00 AM Remember sparring is part of your belt requirements. Purple Belts and up are required to spar at least once every 2 months (on average) in order to belt test. Students must have their own sparring gear. If you need to purchase gear, please see Mrs. Woods or Mrs. Allison to get measured and get it ordered! $5.00 - Pay through the app or bring cash.

Dad Days at Dunamis Karate In honor of Father’s Day, we invite all Dads to join us on the mat June 21-24. Dads can come to class with their kiddos and/or to our Tues/Thurs 7pm Krav Maga class!

Monday, May 31st

Belt Testing will be held during class on Wednesday and Thursday, June 2-3 Wed. June 2 and Thur. June 3rd During Class Time

Dunamis Karate News May 2021 Summer is practically here and as the temperatures rise, so does our excitement. We have a lot of events in store for Dunamis Karate members as the month of May wraps up our “full” schedule. In June we will move into our “summer schedule” and kick off our SUMMER CAMP!

Austin Jamieson from Houston, TX is a 5th Degree black belt in the Chuck Norris System, a 3rd Degree black belt in UFAF Krav Maga and a purple belt in UFAF BJJ. His family is vacationing in the area and he agreed to come teach & lead a special class for PURPLE BELTS & UP on Monday, May 3rd at 7pm. Students need to wear their full uniform and be prepared for some jiu-jitsu training!

Summer uniforms start this week We ask all students to comply with our Summer Uniform Rules! Shorts are only allowed with Dunamis logo! Tees must be Dunamis, CNS, UFAF, Hyper. If you don’t have these required items, then please wear uniform! Bring us your shorts, we add our logo for $5. The Booster Club will have additional tees for purchase soon.

Moms Train for Free May 10th - 13th Join class along side your child or join Krav Maga self-defense class on Tues. & Thurs. at 7pm

NO CLASS WEDNESDAY, MAY 12th Action Hero Photography will be at the Ridgeland location taking photos for our annual school poster. There is No Charge to have your photo taken and be put on the poster. There is No obligation to purchase! You will be able to view & purchase your favorite poses after your session if you wish. Packages start at $24.50. Payment will be required at time of purchase. Game On PNO - Friday, May 21

Think your child plays too much video games? Our new parents night out experience takes your kids from being in front of the screen to actually being inside the screen! Our students and their friends will be transported to a magical 8 –bit land and the only way to get out is by completing different video game-themed activities. Whether it is playing life-size pac-man, building their own super kart, or dodging barrels from a giant gorilla, your kids will have a blast and burn off tons of energy. As always, we expect that this Parents Night Out will be filled up fast so don’t procrastinate!

Private Lesson Marathon May 22nd 11am-1pm May 28th 3pm-5pm We are offering this special PRIVATE LESSON MARATHON to help make certain students are prepared for belt testing. Because we will be closed May 12 due to the photographers and again on May 31 due to Memorial Day, we are offering these private lessons at a discounted price. Dunamis Karate Newsletter April 2021 Spring is upon us and, as quickly as this year is passing, summer will be here before we know it. April is going to be a busy month with so many important events you do not want to miss! Please read everything carefully and mark your calendars so you don’t miss anything! Printable Calendar Hampton Students Join us for an Easter egg hunt at Lightsey Park on Saturday, April 3rd at 1:00 PM. Be sure to bring your own basket or something to hold all your eggs! Saturday, April 10th at 10:00 AM This is your LAST chance to attend a fight club before belt testing! Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 AM This is our LAST Saturday practice before the Black Belt test. Infinite Power Parents Night Out Friday, April 23 6-9pm What goes on at our Infinite Power Parents Night Out? Flying? Smashing? Upholding justice? YES! … And so much more! Your kids will go on a heroes journey to collect the six power stones before the villain, Nekros gets to them first. They will complete exciting challenges and games in order to capture the 6 stones in time. Sword battles, tag games, interactive challenges and more await our team of heroes! Register for PNO Leadership Team Training SWAT Team Training Friday, 4/30 at 5-7 PM Come learn about being a Leader … On and Off the Mat Learn about being a good finder, a power mover and about using the coaches alphabet. This training is open to students ages 7 and up who are at least a Purple Belt. The cost of this training is only $10. Register through the Events Tab on the Dunamis Karate App. STORM Team Training Saturday, May 1 at 10:00-12:00 STORM Team training is for students who are serious about leading classes and potentially becoming instructors. Students in this class will learn about the Five Step Teaching Platform, the Learning Circle, Character Development, Class Formations, One Word Commands, and Pulling Out Black Belt Qualities. STORM Team Training is By Invitation Only! Summer Uniforms Start May 3rd From May to October students are allowed to wear “summer uniforms.” Summer uniforms consist of a Dunamis, Hyper or CNS tee, and gi pants or shorts with the Dunamis Logo and your karate belt. 2021 Summer Tee Design We are now taking orders for our 2021 Summer Tee! The cut off for orders will be 4/17. Bring us your shorts and we will add the logo for only $5.00!! Special PARENT Tee Also Available Remember, the cut off for tee orders is 4/17.
