Thank you to all of our students and parents who came out to support the Goodwill Tournament this past weekend.  We had the 2nd highest number of participants and for the first time ever, we won a GIANT trophy!  Be sure to check out our 5' tall trophy when you come by the school.  

I want to congratulate all of our students on your performance at the tournament.  Regardless of your place, I want you to know I appreciate your hard work and thank you for your great attitudes and sportsmanship!  That is what makes me most proud!

March 12 - 1st Degree Black Belt Pre-Test here at Dunamis Karate

March 13 - 2nd & 3rd Degree Black Belt Pre-Test held at Club Karate in Beaufort, SC

March 18 - Mrs. Woods' Birthday

March 18 - Master Saenz seminar at Club Karate in Beaufort ... More info to come.

March 19-20 - MDS Training for Black Belts 1st Degree & Up hosted by Club Karate in Beaufort

Mach 25 - Private Lesson Marathon ... get a one on one lesson with Mrs. Woods at the discounted rate of only $25... book your 1/2 hour time slot between 3:00 & 5:00 ASAP!

March 27 - Easter Sunday

April 1-2 - 1st Degree Black Belt Test & regional seminars hosted by Inner Banks Karate in Morehead City, NC.  Open to all UFAF members to attend.

Things You Need To Know!

Friday, 2/19, is our last tournament prep class - we will work katas for the Goodwill Tournament - cost $5.      5:00-6:00 PM

Saturday is deadline to pre-register for Goodwill Tournament & save money $$ - get your forms in the mail before Saturday, 2/20!

Test Forms and Test Fees need to be turned in by Thursday, 2/18 or a $10 late fee will be added!  Download a test form here!

Belt Testing is this Saturday:
Jr. Beginners 10:00
Jr. Intermediate & Adult Beginner 11:00
Jr. & Adult Advanced 2:00

(Tiny Tigers and students testing for White Belt will be evaluated during regular class time.)

Test Requirements
- 80% Class AttendanceTuition payments up to date
- Exam Request form with high marks (nothing lower than a 2)
- Clean, Well Fitting White uniform
- Flag Patch for Gold Belts & Up
- UFAF Membership for Purple/White and Up

Belt Graduation will be next Friday, 2/26 at 5:30 PM ... We have special guests coming in to join us & perform for us so make plans to be there!!!

Goodwill Tournament is Saturday - doors open at 8:30 AM, demonstrations start at 10:00 AM ... our school is one of several that have been asked to perform.  The demonstrations are always one of my favorite parts, so be sure to arrive early!

Dunamis Karate News - Feb. 2016 Printable Calendar/Newsletter/Tournament Form/Exam Request  Goodwill Tournament       Saturday, 2/27 Pre-registration is only $40 … but you must get your cashier’s check or money order in the mail before Feb. 20th!   Students can participate in one, two or three events for the Same Price!  Remember our school is honored to have been asked to perform a short demo.  We have begun working on our show in class and we will have our final practice run through during our belt graduation.

Fight Night Friday, 2/5  5:00 PM This class will work specific drills to improve your performance at the Goodwill Tournament.  The cost of the one hour class is only  $5.00.  The class is open to any Purple Belts and up who have their own sparring gear.  Male students must have a cup & supporter as well! Private Lesson Marathon Friday, 2/12 Sharpen your skills before belt testing with a One on One lesson with Mrs. Woods.  This private lesson marathon gives you a special discounted rate of only $25.  Space is limited so RSVP to reserve your spot between 3:00-6:00 ASAP! Belt Graduation        Friday, 2/26  5:30 PM Join us for a VERY SPECIAL belt graduation.  Following a demo by our students, we will have a special performance by the Combat Team, which will include some extreme breaking of boards and bricks.  Invite your family and friends to join us for this special celebration!
